Police will file parricide charges tomorrow against the 39-year-old farmer, who accidentally killed his own daughter during a drunken rage last Friday in Barangay Maluray, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.

PO3 Rodrigo Tio, Dalaguete police investigator, said the wife of suspect Marcelo Tampos assured Tio that she will sign the affidavit to support the parricide charges they will file at the Cebu Provincial Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Marcelo, who was drunk, tried to stab his wife with a “plamingko.” His 9-year-old daughter Kimberly tried to shield her mother and sustained a fatal stab wound on her chest.
