Personnel from Mandaue City’s Traffic Management Group (TMG) were deployed to help man traffic at the United Nations Avenue and the approach of the old bridge this morning.

Glenn Antigua, head of the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM), said TMG personnel augmented traffic enforcers deployed near the two bridges to ensure that traffic flow remained light to moderate.

Antigua said traffic flow improved today because of the resumption of two-way traffic at the old bridge.

Learning from yesterday’s experience, several motorists also left their homes earlier than usual, he added.

Mandaue’s command center noted traffic build up near the two bridges as early as 5 a.m. today.

Traffic flow improved between 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Antigua said it also helped that motorists were cautious to prevent occurrence of road accidents.
