4 collared in drug operations

Police arrested four suspected drug pushers in separate operations yesterday and last Thursday in the different parts of Cebu.

Josephine Dasig, 50, and Dandan Pestanio, 25, were arrested in a raid in Barangay Subangdaku,  Mandaue City yesterday morning. Confiscated from them was P200,000 worth of shabu.

Dasig was the subject of the search warrant issued by Judge Teresita Galanida. She had been under surveillance for three weeks.

Several packs of suspected shabu worth about P143,000 and drug paraphernalia were seized from her.

Using Dasig’s cellphone, police called Pestanio, her supplier, and ordered drugs from him.  This resulted in Pestanio’s arrest and  P70,000 worth of shabu was  seized.

Pestanio has a standing warrant of arrest for robbery.

In Carcar City, police arrested yesterday afternoon  Tereso Bacong and John Mark Bolasco for allegedly peddling illegal drugs.

Their companion, a certain “Banong” eluded arrest. Seized were 30 small and five medium packs of shabu worth P350,000 from the suspects’ rented room.

Last Thursday, police arrested a suspected drug pusher in Barangay Cantood, Balamban town.

Ceciro Ricardo, 35, was collared after he allegedly sold one small pack of shabu to a police decoy.

A body frisk yielded one small and one medium pack of shabu  worth an estimate of P176,000 as well as drug paraphernalia.
