MECO worker shot dead in Lapu-Lapu

A 45-YEAR-OLD employee of Mactan Electric Cooperative (MECO) was shot dead last Saturday by a man on a motorcycle in Barangay Looc, Lapu-Lapu City.

Remegio Ungria of Purok Yellow Bell, Barangay Looc, died after he was shot in the back of the head.

Police investigation showed four men on two motorcycles followed Ungria who was heading home on his motorcycle at past midnight.

As Ung he backrider of one of the motorcycles pulled out a .45  pistol and shot Ungria.

The shooter and his cohorts then fled after the shooting.

Police were still investigating the incident.
