BANKING on total team effort, CEC-E rolled to its fourth victory via a 63-52 spanking of CEC-C/ATS Aljhune Tinsmith/NST Rubbers last Tuesday in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association (Cecaba) 15th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup at the CEC Gym.

Norman Lopez led CEC-E in scoring with 18 points. Ryan Maderazo contributed 14 markers, Wilby Tan donated 10, while Cedric Chua pitched in nine.

Vincent Sy scored just four points and Edison Uy only had three markers. The duo, however, made heavy damage in the defensive end with Sy grabbing 13 rebounds to go with one blocked shot.

Uy collared 16 rebounds and swatted one shot as CEC-E moved up to solo second place with a 4-1 (win-loss) record.

Mar Genesis Quisagan scored 12 markers — the lone player to score in double figures for CEC-C, which tasted its fourth defeat against a single victory.

In the other game, CEC-D/Dimsum Frito leaned on Tommy Yu and John Quilacio in beating Batch 1988/Dewfoam, 72-63.

Yu cashed in 17 points, while Quilacio netted 16. Benson Siao and Judd Veneracion added 12 markers apiece.

Richard Yu topped Batch ‘88 with 19 points, Erwin Yu scored 12, Gregorio Aguilar and Rey Kenneth Ng each finished with 10 markers as Dewfoam crashed to 1-4.
