BMEG Futsal Cup 2016 tournament kicks off in Lapu-Lapu

ALL IS set for the first-ever BMEG Futsal Cup 2016 at the Lapu-Lapu City Sports Complex.

Around 38 teams will compete in the tournament organized by the Mactan-Camellanz FC headed by club president Shelumiel Purisima and event coordinator Alvin

Mangubat in partnership with B-Meg San Miguel Foods Inc.

The tournament is sanctioned by both the Cebu Football Association and the Pilipinas Futsal Association.

This tournament will be featuring seven age groups/categories. These are the under-13, under 15 boys and girls, under-18 boys, under-18 girls, men and women’s open and inter-company/BPO category.

Among the teams that will be competing are Don Bosco United, Suba Basbas FC, Guardian Strikers, Center for International Education (CIE), Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), Saint Augustine International School (SAIS), Hiroshi FC, Mactan Camellanz, La Fuerza FC, Tayud FC, Talisay Razkals, La Galeria FC, Team Suzuki, Magone FC, Metropolitan FC, Avengers FC, Team Guardo, Leylam FC, Mactan Warriors, San Roque FC, San Miguel FC, Hot Tease FC, Chico United, ERCO FC and  Gannet Warriors.

According to Mangubat, B-Meg has been supporting the grassroots program for futsal since 2009 by providing equipment, uniforms and other necessities.
