A TOTAL of 83 competitors are set to duke it out in the first offering of the three-leg Cebu Trail Challenge Series dubbed “A Taste of Cebu Trails: The Half-Marathon Challenge” this Sunday at the Arcenas Road in Banawa, Cebu City.
The 21-kilometer race, which will get underway at 5:30 a.m., will have five different checkpoints to assure the safety of the participants. Failing to stop at these points will result in automatic disqualification from the contest. Competitors are given eight hours to complete the race, which will end at 1:30 p.m.
The event is made possible by the Cebu Trail Runners Club, which will also put together the Pamutan Ultra Trail – Multi Days tournament on March 24 to 26.
