The newly formed P Concepts and Solutions will hold a one-of-a-kind running event in Cebu dubbed “Rock My Run: Summer Music and Fitness Festival” slated May 16 to 22 at the Ayala Center Cebu.

The week-long event will feature a fitness festival with concerts showcasing local bands. It  will be capped off by a footrace on May 22.

P Concepts and Solutions director Idyll Liza Peroramas, the brainchild of the running event, said bands and hiphop artists led the event’s official launching yesterday at the Handuraw Pizza along Gorordo Avenue, Cebu City.

Peroramas, who is also the former president of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Cebu Mactan Channel, said she and the rest of the organizing team are planning to tap more fitness teams and clubs as well as local bands and artists to spice up the culminating concert on May 22 at the Trackbite in Panagdait, Barangay Mabolo.

“The more bands and fitness clubs, the better because we want to promote healthy and active lifestyle to Cebuanos through our running event and fitness festival. At the same time, we also want the participants to enjoy local music from our bands and artists. We all know that it’s more fun exercising and doing physical activities while listening to good music so we came up with this kind of concept,” Peroramas said.

The running event, which is slated on May 22, will be featuring three distances: the 12-kilometer, 6k and 3k categories with registration fees of P650, P550 and P350, respectively.

Registration fees will be inclusive of race pack and ticket to the concert.

The running event will serve as the finale of the fitness festival that will be headed by Cebu’s newest 24/7 fitness center Anytime Fitness along with Crossfit Pintados, Flow Genesis Parkour and Studio 108 Fitness and Wellness Center.

The race will start at 5 a.m., starting and ending at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

Cash prizes will be given out to winning runners in each category.
