IT’S all systems go for the opening leg of the Cebu Trail Challenge as over 100 participants battle for supremacy today at Paseo Arcenas in Barangay Banawa, Cebu City.
The 21-kilometer battle will pass through different mountainous areas in various Cebu City barangays such as Buhisan, Sapangdako, Pamutan and Toong and will end in Banawa.
Race director Romeo Cordova said he is certain that the competition will be challenging and at the same time entertaining as racers will get a chance to witness scenic views along the route.
“The routes will be technical, medyo init kay naa man ka sa bukid but it’s very scenic so makita ang city from different areas,” Cordova said.
Cordova added that the route was conceptualized to make it enjoyable for the first-timers but challenging enough for seasoned participants.
Top finishers in the men’s and women’s divisions will receive medals and trophies.
