Three robbers fled with at least P16,614 cash and assorted cellphones worth P118,820 from the Junrex Cellphones and Accessories shop in San Vicente, Bogo City.

Senior Supt. Clifford Gairanod, Cebu provincial police chief, said the robbery happened at 12:45 p.m. when a male employee went out for lunch, leaving alone a 25-year-old female co-worker identified as Juvita Frias.

Two of the three suspects went inside the store and declared a hold-up.

Frias was tied up and gagged with masking tape and then placed inside the store’s stockroom.

The store has no security camera and security guard.

The suspects fled on board a motorcycle.

This is the second robbery in Bogo City within the month. A few days ago, a grocery store inside the Gaisano mall was also robbed.

Police are now looking into speculations that robbery incidents in Bogo City are linked to the election period.

Gairanod said Supt. Richard Oliver, Bogo City police chief, is placed under probation and he may be relieved in case another robbery incident occurred.
