The Garcia-led One Cebu party and Presidential aspirant Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte have began talks on a possible alliance.

Duterte, following a day long campaign sorties in Cebu,  held a closed door meeting with One Cebu gubernatorial bet Winston Garcia at the Sugbutel Family Hotel in Cebu City earlier tonight.

“I presented my programs to him and he was very supportive,” Garcia told reporters following the 30-minute meeting with Duterte.

Garcia had been waiting inside the Carlos A. Gothong Holdings, Inc. office on the ground floor while Duterte was in a women’s forum at the Penthouse on the sixth floor.

Duterte arrived at the venue around 6 p.m. from Toledo City in southwestern Cebu, where he attended a rally organized for him by Mayor John Henry “Sonny” Osmeña.

Duterte said it was the first time they discussed the possibility of an alliance following the breakup last month of One Cebu and Vice President Jejomar Binay’s United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) last month.

Garcia said he will call for an emergency meeting with One Cebu leaders to come up with a unified stand.
