PRESIDENTIAL candidate Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte will be presented with a list of programs to improve women’s welfare by a multi-sectoral alliance of women’s groups at a Cebu City hotel this afternoon.

The Forum on Women for Action Rody Duterte (FORWARD) will present their agenda to the mayor in hopes that he will include it in his priority programs if he is elected president.

The activity is ongoing at the Sugbutel Family Hotel along S. Osmeña Road.

Gabriela Party-list Rep. Luz Ilagan, who is running for city councilor in Davao City under Duterte, said she hopes Duterte will seriously consider the group’s proposal.

“In the agenda, there are overarching themes on poverty, unemployment, equal rights for women in governance and participation,” Ilagan told Cebu Daily News.

She said Forward is made up of Duterte’s women leaders from Davao City who came and gather women supporters of Duterte in Cebu.

Ilagan served as keynote speaker during the event and gave guidelines on plarform-crafting. After the group’s presentation, the mayor is expected to share his sentiments on the proposed platform of action.

Duterte will fly in by chopper straight from a rally in Toledo City.
