CEBUANOS Marc Nicole Suson and Marc Pradel bagged two titles each in the 10th annual Cebuana Lhuillier Age-Group Tennis Championships yesterday at the Baybay Tennis Club in Baybay, Leyte.

Suson, a stalwart of the University of Cebu  (UC), beat Venz Louise Alforque, 6-4, 6-4, to bag the 16-under boys’ title while Pradel rolled past Leyte’s Jules Cari, 6-2, 6-2, to secure the 18-under boys’ laurel.

Both Suson and Pradel then joined forces in the 18-under boys’ doubles competition as they went on to break the hearts of the home fans for the second time that day by beating Leyte aces Cari and Joshua Torre, 8-3.

In other games, Naga City’s  Alforque, who will be representing the Philippines in the World Junior Tennis Cup later this month, rebounded from his loss against Suson by surviving Torre, 6-4, 7-5, in the 14-under boys’ division.

The event is a project of Jean Henri Lhuillier, the CEO/President and Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Tennis Association and is sponsored by Dunlop which is the official ball of the tournament.
