THE 68-year-old Japanese national who was caught with a minor inside his motel room by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) was charged before the Regional Trial Court in Cebu City last Friday.

The Cebu City Prosecutors’ Office indicted Yoshio Morino on charges of violating Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

He was particularly cited for having in his company in any public or private place a minor, 12 years or under or who is 10 years or more his junior and is not a family member or relative or no legitimate relationship with the child. Bail was recommended at P100,000.
