Female habal-habal passenger robbed by motorcycle rider
A 23-year-old female habal-habal (motorcycle for hire) passenger was robbed by a motorcycle-riding thief at Barangay Lorega, Cebu City at 3:30 am Tuesday.
Aileen Lopez rode a motorcycle driven by a certain Gabriel Ruel when the unidentified motorcycle driver drove beside them. Thinking that Lopez knew the driver, Ruel slowed down and the thief called Lopez, who got off the motorcycle to approach him.
As she came close, the driver grabbed her bag containing P30 cash and a makeup kit and punched her head then sped away.
Lopez was still lucky though that the P5, 000 cash which she kept on her pocket was not taken from her.
