Owning a KTM motorcycle will now be easier with the recent opening of the KTM 3S (sales, spare parts and service) Flagship dealership at the Café Racer complex at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
The new KTM 3S Flagship store is owned and operated by KTM Visayas Corporation, which was established last year by Wilson Patrick Ong and Brian Lacson.
The dealership is in a two-story building with a total floor area of 400-square meters that houses a service bay and a showroom for different KTM motorcycle models. The dealership is also manned by well-trained mechanics.
Lacson said one of the main reasons for their putting up the dealership is to assure KTM owners of after-sales service.
“The problem before was when people bought KTM bikes, there was no place to go for service. With this, we want to let people know that there is a place they can go to for service,” Lacson said. “We want to make sure that when you buy the bike, you don’t have to think about anything anymore. You ride it and when there’s a problem you know where to go.”
The dealership’s service is actually multi-brand as they have a diagnostic software and hardware for KTM, Ducati, BMW, MV Agusta and Husqvarna brands.
Founded in 1934 by Austrian engineer, Hans Trunkenpolz in Mattighofen, Austria, KTM is known for its 2-stroke and 4-stroke off-road motorcycles.
Lacson said he is optimistic with the performance of the brand in Cebu, especially with the opening of the new dealership.
He said they are trying to target the C and up class since their motorbikes range from P175,000 to P1.5 million.

But he said they are also trying to target the emerging middle class.
“KTM fills in the void between the scooters and the high-end brands. We’re competitive with the high-end brands, with the adventure bikes and all. But then in between, like the 200cc to 600cc range, there’s not much offered there. So that’s where we come in. That’s why we opted for this dealership because we see great potential here and in the whole country,” Lacson said.
KTM Visayas Corp started selling the bikes late last year but moved to the new showroom only this February. Lacson said the brand is doing well so far with the Duke 200 being one of the best-selling models here.
If plans go well with the dealership, Lacson said they are looking to branch out to neighboring regions such as Dumaguete, Bacolod and Iloilo.
“We invite all riders to come, not only to check out what we have or to have your motorcycles serviced, but also to connect with other enthusiasts,” Wilson Ong, President and CEO of KTM Visayas Corporation said in a press release.
