Two killed, two others injured in motorcycle collision

CEBU CITY—Two persons were killed while two others were wounded past 1 a.m. on Tuesday when two motorcycles collided along Duterte Street, Sitio Banawa, Barangay Guadalupe in ths city.

The fatalities were identified as Klie Mark Mangitngit Galo, 22, of Asturias town and Edcher Baritua Jr., 20, from Upper Gun Club, Banawa – drivers of the two motorcycles.

Galo’s two passengers identified as Jimmy Libradilla, 28 from Talisay and Emerjohn Amonsot, 25, from Tisa, Cebu City were both wounded and are now confined at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

According to traffic investigator PO2 Chady Jungoy, Galo was driving his Rusi motorcycle (plate number GC-10867) along Duterte Street and was heading to  Salvador Street in Barangay Labangon when he collided with Baritua’s Honda motorycle (GC-64674) that came from the opposite direction.

The impact of the collision was so strong that the drivers and passengers were thrown into the pavement.
