Spicing up the opening festivities was the exhibition game between the San Remigio Properties of playing team owner Mark Anthony Ynoc and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers where the former pulled off a 52-43 victory.
Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama and US-based Cebuano NBA trainer/coach Jefferson Codera, who is a member of the reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors’ training camp, graced the simple opening ceremony along with the officers of Casals Village Home Owners Association led by their president Engr. Ernesto Giduquio.

Champion will get P15,000, while the second and third-placers will receive P10,000 and P5,000, respectively.
The competing teams will play in a single round-robin format in the eliminations. The top four squads will move on to crossover semifinals.
The top two seeds will have twice-to-beat edges over their lower-ranked opponents. The championship will be played via a sudden-death match.
