CEBU Gov. Hilario Davide III said he will order the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMC) and the Provincial Social Welfare Office to check how the Capitol can help those affected by last Wednesday evening’s fire that damaged the San Vicente Ferrer Chapel and destroyed 13 houses in barangay Pitalo, San Fernando town.

“It is a chapel and we don’t want to interfere but they need help. I understand that there were 13 houses that got burned down,” he said.

Magpale said she will have to ask the Cebu Archdiocese on the restoration of the chapel.

“It has to be rebuilt because it is a heritage site,” she said.

Magpale said the meeting will have to be scheduled after the elections next week.
