A MALE fetus was found floating under a bridge in Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City at 8:45 am Thursday.

Jimbo Bacalso, a 45-year-old resident of P. Basubas Street in Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City was at the bridge near San Miguel Corp. when he noticed the male fetus.

Bacalso immediately reported the incident to the nearby tanod outpost. SPO2 Remegio Arciaga of the Subangdaku police precinct said the barangay tanods took the fetus out of the water while he called a funeral service to pick the remains.

Arciaga said he asked barangay chairman Procopio Villanueva to order the barangay health center to provide information on any pregnant woman they happen to have attended to in the past few weeks.
