Fire razed through one hectare of farm planted to mango, bamboo

SEVERAL mango trees and bamboo plants were razed by a fire that hit a plantation in the mountain barangay in Pulang Bato, Cebu City this afternoon.

The fire started at 1 pm and swept through about one hectare’s worth of trees and plants, the Cebu City Fire Department said.

Firefighters have found it difficult to put out the fire in the plantation located in an elevated portion of barangay Pulang Bato which is five kilometers away from barangay Talamban in northern Cebu.
