The Cebu Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) officially proclaimed Thursday night two Provincial Board Members for the seventh legislative district at 8:25 p.m.

Liberal Party’s Jerome Librando, who garnered 55,931 votes, and Dong Baricuatro, who got 50,050 votes, were proclaimed winners for the PB seats.

The proclamation was made after Malabuyoc town in southwestern Cebu was able to transmit their results at 5:37 p.m. yesterday – three days after the May 9 election.

The transmission of Malabuyoc’s results were delayed because of transmission glitches, which the town experienced since Monday night.

The town’s canvass-consolidation system (CCS) machine had to be brought to Cabuyao, Laguna, for reconfiguration before the Malabuyoc was able to transmit their results to the PBOC at 5:37 p.m. Thursday.

The PBOC declared a recess at 8:50 p.m. yesterday, and it will resume operations at 2 p.m. today, where they will be expecting to receive transmission results from Santander.
