THE outpatient department of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (DVSMMC) will be closed for renovation starting today and in the next six to eight months.

The hospital management issued a press statement yesterday afternoon to advise their patients of the change. A copy of the advisory was posted on the Facebook page of hospital information officer Nonoy Mongaya.

The advisory stated that while renovation works are ongoing patients in need of pediatrics, general surgey, ENT, urosurgery, plastic surgery, OB-GYNE care are advised to proceed to the hospital’s Child Survival Building where these services will be temporarily transferred.

Once renovation works are completed, Sotto’s OPD will already have improved facilities and additional diagnostics services “to better service clients.”
