SWU, White Sands set up beach volleyball finals match
Reigning title-holders White Sands and last year’s runner up Southwestern University Lady Cobras (SWU) beat separate foes to set up a titular showdown in the Rider Beach Volleyball competition this afternoon at Compostela town, North Cebu.
Earlier this morning, the White Sand duo of Jusabelle Brillo and Apple Saraum ended the Cinderella run of Tejero Volleyball Club (TVC) with a 21-11, 21-17 triumph while SWU overcame the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons (UP) 11-21, 21-16, 15-13.
SWU will look to avenge their loss against White Sand as they go head-to-head in the finals this afternoon at 3 pm while UP and TVC will look to salvage their season as they play for bronze at 2 pm.
