Rock My Run Summer Music and Fitness Festival fires off
ALL IS set for the first-ever “Rock My Run: Summer Music and Fitness Festival” that will be held today at the Cebu Business Park grounds.
Around 900 runners have enlisted to join the foot race organized by the newly formed P Concepts and Solutions headed by director Idyll Liza Peroramas.
According to Peroramas, almost half of those who enlisted will be joining the longest distance, the 12-kilometer race, while the rest will be joining the 6k and 3k categories.
The footrace will be the highlight of the week-long activity put up by P Concept and Solutions that includes a fitness festival at the Ayala Center Cebu with the partnership of Cebu’s newest 24/7 fitness center, Anytime Fitness, together with Crossfit Pintados, Flow Genesis Parkour and Studio 108 Fitness and Wellness Center.
After the run in the morning, the runners will be treated to a rock concert to be held at the Trackbite in Panagdait, Barangay Mabolo featuring local bands and performers such as Loonie and Abra, Missing Filemon, Cattski, Foc Fashion and Bethany.
Cash prizes will be given out to the winning runners in each category.
Parts of the proceeds of the running event will be given to the JCI Cebu Mactan Channel’s charitable programs.
Live bands and Zumba dance sessions will also be held before and after the running event.
Race director for this event is Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts.
