17-year-old duathlete logs upset win in Bogo Duathlon

MARK Domic Dinoy pulled off a huge upset win against hometown bet and veteran Noel Tillor to top the elite category of the 4th Annual Bogo City Duathlon yesterday in Bogo City, north Cebu.

The 17-year-old Dimoy breasted the finish line in two minutes, 30 seconds and four seconds, to win the crown against the 30-year-old multi-titled Tillor of Bogo City, who clocked in at 2:30:52.

Rounding up the top five were Mitchell Pilapil (2:34:09), Amon Espinosa (3:20:04) and Nogie Biagan (3:36:30).

Meanwhile, Lucille Ruiz ruled the women’s elite division with a time of 1:50:56.

Shiela Aligway settled for second place after clocking in at 1:55:14.
