BE it during fiestas or a simple salu-salo with family or friends, one cannot argue that these fun moments won’t be as they are without a bottle or two of ice-cold Coca-Cola. One can almost tell that this delicious drink has a kind of spell that magically turns meal times into wonderful and refreshing moments worth treasuring. Have you once wondered how a bottle of Coke is being turned into a delightful concoction or perhaps how this beverage is prepared before it reaches our chillers?
The journey of a Coke product begins at the Coca-Cola FEMSA Cebu Plant, a storied plant built in 1941 and is the first-ever Coke plant outside of Manila. It is where your favorite beverage undergoes a bottling process that starts off with the preparations of its raw materials and ingredients such as water, sweeteners, and natural flavors. After this comes the bottle washing where the bottles pass through a bottler washer where every bottle is thoroughly sanitized, filled, capped, and inspected using state-of-the-art equipment and strict quality control measures. The bottles that pass this phase are then put into crates and are brought to the warehouse where they will then be prepared to be dispatched to stores and distributors. From this point, these products are distributed to four main distribution centers namely Cebu City, Consolacion, Mandaue, and Masbate in Samar. Overall, Coca-Cola FEMSA’s Cebu region commercial operations employs over 460 associates and serves close to 42, 000 retail establishments.
From these distribution centers, Coke products are then delivered to sari-sari stores and carinderias where we usually run to to get our Coke fix.
More than its secret formula and all the other beverages under Coca-Cola FEMSA, every bottle is made out of love and happiness by the 10, 000 people in 19 plants and 60 sales offices across the Philippines all conspiring to bring you delight and refreshment that come in bottles.
Every Coke product is the result of hardwork and dedication of thousands of Filipinos whose lives were impacted by Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines.
