THE filling materials or anapog that will be used to develop the fire site in Barangays Guizo and Mantuyong in Mandaue City now occupy a portion of the W. Seno St. going to the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) operations chief Glenn Antigua assured that the anapog would not pose inconvenience to motorists since the lane occupied by it is temporarily closed.

“Gi-close nana nato nga road kilid sa CICC sa una pa to accommodate fire victims. Karon gi-accommodate na lang pud nang filling materials (We have been closing the road to accommodate fire victims at the side of CICC. We also dumped the anapog there),” he said.

“Atong City Engineer’s Office gibutang nalang diha (W. Seno Road) aron doul na lang sa fire site (Our City Engineer’s Office decided to put the filling materials there so it will be near the fire site),” he said.

The filling materials were donated by contractors of road projects in Mandaue City, such as PB Obial Construction Company and PLD Construction, among others.

He said that some residents have already left CICC after they received their financial assistance from the local government. Suico said that others, especially those renters and sharers, are unlikely to return to the fire site and are looking for a new place to live.
