CEBUANA duathlete Miscelle Gilbuena fell short anew as the Bantayan-native wound up second in the last leg of the Pilipinas Duathlon Series yesterday at the Pradera Verde Wake Park in Lubao, Pampanga.
Gilbuena trailed her teammate at the national squad Mirasol Abad for the fourth consecutive time. She, however, was unable to take note of her time.
Cebu Daily News tried to get the official race results but race director Popo Remigio said organizers are still validating the results. He said they will release the complete results as soon as they are validated.
Meanwhile, Joland Olmilla from Mandaue City bettered his last place finish in leg 2 with a ninth-place finish in the men’s elite division.
Gilbuena, Olmilla and the rest of the Philippine National Duathlon Team are now eyeing to compete in the Pariaman Indonesia and the Powerman Duathlon Leg 4 slated this December.
