Hunat Sugbo run on

AROUND 2,000 runners will test their mettle in today’s sixth edition of Hunat Sugbu: Dagan Para Ni Maning, which will start and end at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

Organized by Cebu Parklane International Hotel, the race, carrying the theme “Dare to Break Your Record,” aims to provide the participants a memorable footrace by making sure that everything will go smoothly.

Race director Joel Baring said 1,970 runners have signified to compete.

Baring said most of the participants signed up for the 12-kilometer race, which also feature 21k, 6k and 3k categories.

Dumaguete City’s Mereeis Ramirez is one of the top local runner who signe dup for the 21k race which will also have Kenyan runners.

The running event is for the benefit of the Jesu Christi Community’s medical missions which already served around 2,000 beneficiaries coming from the race’s proceeds.
