The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) 7 launched its second Listahanan Database for Central Visayas at Cebu Parklane International Hotel Monday morning.

The said database is designed to provide easy and accurate access to information of the poor households in Region 7.

Implemented last year, Listahanan 2 identifies 385,534 poor households in the region covering the provinces of Bohol, Cebu, and Siquijor.

This assessment covered a total of 843,275 households in the region with 99,993 households in Bohol, 279,110 in Cebu and 6,431 in Siquijor.

According to Dir. Vincent Andrew Leyson, Director IV of DSWD Field Office in the National Capital Region, the database is for free and can be accessed through the incoming DSWD Secretary Judith Taguiwalo via a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)./UP Cebu Intern Amy Macalinao
