LIBERAL Party presidential bet Mar Roxas said he will attend the oath taking of Vice President-elect Leni Robredo.
“Isa tayo sa mga kababayan na natutuwa sa pagkapanalo ni Leni (I am one of those that were happy about Leni’s victory),” he told reporters during an interview in Cebu City Tuesday afternoon.
Roxas said he is here in Cebu City to attend the oathtaking of Cebu City Mayor-elect Tomas Osmeña and the rest of the councilors who won under the Bando Osmeña-Pundok Kauswagan (BO-PK).
He said it will also be his chance to personally thank the Cebuanos for voting for him in the last May elections. Roxas received over 600,000 votes here in Cebu.
When asked what he was doing after the elections, Roxas said he went around some areas to personally thank those who voted for him. Roxas accompanied Osmeña to meet Robredo who arrived at past 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
