JERICHO Jumapao toppled 1,275 pins in six games last Saturday to win the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association’s (CETBA) “Bowler of the Month” crown for June at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
Jumapao nipped Bong Supremo who placed second with 1,234 pinfalls while Ronan Barredo finished third with 1,229 pinfalls. Jumapao anchored his victory with big scores in games two and five where he toppled 235 and 223 pinfalls, respectively.
Jumapao’s younger brother, Jomar settled for fourth place with 1,228 pinfalls followed by February bowler of the month winner Fel Alasagas who tied Jomar with 1,228 pinfalls but had a smaller handicap average. Makoto Osada and Omar Marsangca posted identical 1.216 pinfalls but the former snatched the sixth spot with a higher handicap average points.
Baby Bacon placed eighth with 1,215 pinfalls, Beth Ngo claimed the ninth spot with 1,212 while May bowler of the month Marvin Sevilla placed 10th with 1,211 pinfalls.
Other monthly winners who qualified to the yearend grand finals were Noel Marquez for April, Jerry Davis for January and Fred Torrequemada for March.
