Three persons were arrested and several packs suspected to contain shabu were seized in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Labogon, Mandaue City last Tuesday afternoon.

But the target of the buy-bust operation done by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the Regional Public Safety Battalion, level two drug pusher Joiel Secretaria, escaped.

Chief Insp. Maximo Sumeg-ang, CIDG provincial chief, said Secretaria noticed the presence of police after he concluded a transaction with a buyer and fled the area at past 4 p.m.

Sumeg-ang identified those arrested as Rodulfo Aranado Abella, Leonard Tomayao Dalaguit, and Gay Tacudin Bentoy.

Two firearms, ammunition and 30 packs believed to contain shabu that were valued at P100,000 were taken from them.

Abella admitted to reporters that he was a drug user. “Mangundang na siguro ani nga bisyo, sir, kay Duterte na man (I will probably stop this vice because President Rodrigo Duterte is now in power),” Abella said.

In Barangay Jugan, Consolacion town, an anti-drug operation resulted to the arrest of a certain Elezier Mondejar at his home in Anami Homes at past 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Taken from his possession was a .9mm pistol.
