OPERATIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG-7) arrested a Norwegian and his Filipina live-in partner for taking lewd pictures of their model and threatening to upload it in a social networking site.

Michael Vedal and his live-in partner Louella Bingil were arrested based on the complaint of Marissa (real name withheld), a 25-year-old model from Barangay Labangon, Cebu City.

The CIDG operatives led by Supt. Fermin Armendarez III were armed with a search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Soliver Peras.

The couple was charged yesterday for violation of Republic Act 9995 or Anti-Photo and Voyeurism Act of 2006.

Marissa said in her affidavit that she used to work as a model for the couple, receiving a monthly salary of P30,000 as they agreed.

They knew each other through the social networking site, Facebook.

Marissa said she first refused Vedal’s offer to work as a model last February because her husband would not allow her. But because of the P30,000 offer, she agreed on April.

Marissa alleged that she was asked to wear sexy dresses including Bikini Boudoir for a glamour shoot.

However on April 4, while she was naked inside the room about to change dress, Michael allegedly took video of her without her consent.

Marissa complained and Michael promised to delete the video.

Marissa said she decided to stop working on the last week of April when the couple requested her to perform sexual intercourse while they took picture and video.

But the couple did not accept her resignation and threatened to post or upload her lewd pictures and videos. She was also threatened that they would tell her husband abroad.

This prompted Marisa to report the matter to CIDG-7.

During the implementation of the search warrant past 2 p.m., Thursday, the CIDG-7 operatives confiscated from the couple’s room a netbook, personal computer, computer monitor, card reader, three pieces of flashdrives and other gadgets.

The gadgets were turned over to Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) for further investigation. Several lewd pictures of Marissa were also recovered.
