ALMOST half of the 15 sporting events of the 21st Milo Little Olympics Visayas Regional Finals will be held at the sprawling SM Seaside City.
The multi-sporting event is scheduled on September 8 to 11.
Seven events namely: gymnastics, arnis, taekwondo, karatedo, chess, scrabble and table tennis will be held at SM Seaside City in South Road Properties (SRP).
Visayas delegation head and organizer of the Visayas Regional finals, Ricky Ballesteros yesterday met with SM Seaside City officials such AVP Marketing officers Erickson dela Cruz and Anther Ynfante to formally forge their partnership.
SM Seaside City will also host the event’s press launching and the awarding ceremonies.
The rest of the sporting events like badminton, athletics, basketball, football, lawn tennis, swimming, volleyball and sepak takraw will be held in various venues in Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC).
The opening ceremonies will be held at the CCSC also.
Ballesteros, tournament managers and officials conducted a general meeting last Thursday as part of the preparation for the coming event.
Last year, the Visayas Regional Finals was held in Ilo-ilo City with Sacred Heart School Ateneo-de Cebu (SHS-AdC) dethroning back-to-back secondary division champions University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors.
USC did not go home empty handed as it retained the elementary division crown.
