Resort manager shot dead

A RESORT manager was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle riding assailants in Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City at 9 p.m. last Tuesday.

Luz Bensi, a 53-year-old resident of Purok Butterfly and manager of Karancho Beach Resort in barangay Maribago died on the spot after sustaining two gunshot wounds in the head and chest.

PO3 Salvador Loplop of the Hoops Dome police precinct said initial investigation showed that Bensi was walking with her helper towards her car parked a distance from her home when the backrider shot the victim several times and sped away from the scene.

Police recovered three empty shells of a .45 pistol at the crime scene.

Bensi also worked as a real estate agent.

The motive had yet to be established.
