Cebu City –A 54-YEAR-OLD drug suspect listed in barangay Lorega’s watchlist was shot down by a lone unidentified gunman while he played mahjong with three others in Sitio Lumar, Barangay Lorega at past 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said Efren Coyaca sustained gunshot wounds in the head and stomach and was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center but failed to make it.
Coyoca surrendered to the Parian police following an “Oplan TokHang” done in Lorega.
He was shot inside a makeshift shelter near his house.
Found at the crime scene were four empty shells from a .45 pistol. No one in the area recognized the assailant.
