New format, huge prizes in Y101 Corporate Cup golf
A GRANDER and more challenging Y101 Corporate Cup will unfold on July 29 at the Cebu Country Club in Cebu City.
This as organizers will be offering two huge prizes for a player who can score a hole in one. That player can either choose between a brand-new BMW big bike or a Peugeot sedan.
The tournament, which features 50 teams, will also be using a new format.
The golf tournament was launched yesterday at the Montebello Garden Hotel. Present were GVM Radio and TV Corporation and Y101 FM chairwoman Martha Tuazon, tournament chairman Joseph Stevens Jr., Y101 FM president Michael Solon, tournament director Nimrod Quiñones and GVM Radio and TV Corporation and Y101 FM AVP Jose Olondriz.
According to Quiñones, each team shall now be composed of two best-ball pairs and the total output of the two-man team will be the team aggregate.
The tournament will be divided into three divisions according to their handicap points. There will be three divisions namely platinum, gold and silver.
Quiñones said that they are still using the modified Stableford scoring system and three fourths of the July handicap points will be applied.
Registration is now ongoing at the Cebu Country Club and at the Y101 FM Studio located at the second floor of Gaisano Countrymall.
