THE Cebu Technical Vocational Training and Assessment Academy, Inc. (VocTech) opened its campus last June 27 at the second floor of BAI Center along Cebu South Road, Basak San Nicolas to bring their wide variety of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) courses closer to the public.
VocTech is an ICT training and assessment institution that aims to provide real-time and innovative programs for individuals who want to penetrate the global labor workforce and local and international industries.
VocTech President Andy Ralota said during the school’s launching that the institution serves as a training ground for future and practicing ICT professionals. VocTech will hone their skills so they can better respond to the needs of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and Information Technology (IT) companies here and abroad.
VocTech offers the following short term courses: Fiber optics, solar panel, premises cabling, mobile and web applications development, 2D and 3D animation, and visual graphics. They also offer foreign language programs in Japanese and Korea. All these courses are TESDA-accredited and are also aligned with the K+12 program.
VocTech envisions to create linkages and partnerships with other Asian countries for easy exchange of talent pools. It is also looking at developing a partnership with Japanese game developers so they could invite their experts over to teach their incoming students.
