Isuzu’s 4X4 Action Playground in Cebu on Aug. 12 to 14
Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) will give Cebuanos a chance to check out the 4-wheel-drive capability of its vehicles when it brings the Isuzu 4X4 Action Playground to the Queen City of the South.
This one-of-a-kind motoring event will be held at the SM City Cebu North Open Parking Area on Aug. 12 to 14.
The event is expected to show the capabilities of the four-wheel-drive 3.0-liter variants of the Isuzu mu-X midsize sports utility vehicle and the D-Max pickup truck. Both have an output of 160 horsepower and 380 newton meter of torque.
An obstacle course that features the 40-degree angle Transverse Ramp, Slip Roller, Articulation Ramp and the jaw-dropping 20-foot Thrill Hill will be put up to test the Isuzu vehicles’ off-road performance.
During the event, professional off-road drivers will be driving the vehicles through every stage of the short obstacle course.
The Cebu leg will be the third stop this year after stints at the Exploreum Parking Area of the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay last April and at Donato Piston Avenue, San Rafael, Mandurriao, Iloilo City last June.
This off-road experience kick-started November last year at the Bonifacio Global City, almost a month after the launch of the 3.0-liter Variable Geometry System-equipped variants of the mu-X and D-Max.
“The Isuzu Off-Road Fest is designed to push the limit of our Isuzu mu-X and D-Max models. We want the public not just to see but to also experience the true power of these two exciting models,” IPC president Hajime Koso told motioncars.inquirer.net in the first event last year.
Some of Isuzu’s other vehicles will be displayed during the event. Cebuano Isuzu owners may also avail of on-the-spot 30-percent discount on Isuzu-supplied parts, lubes and accessories.
Admission is free and Isuzu items will be given upon registration.
