Two graduates of Southwestern University made it to the top 10 of the July 2016 Optometrist Licensure Exam.
Kier Gonzaga Tiberio and Hazel Cabao-an Celestal grabbed the 7th and 10th top spots with a grade average of 84.52 and 84.05 respectively.
A student of Centro Escolar University-Manila (CEU Manila) grabbed the top spot with a rating of 85.99 percent.
Other topnotchers were Jenno Subiera Lantaya (2nd, 85.95 percent rating) of Mindanao Medical Foundation College; from CEU Manila Veronica Joy Anggo Calud (3rd, 85.17), Jianne Katrina Espinosa Santos (4th, 85.01%), Shiella Marie Hernandez Asinas (5th, 84.97%), and Alena Carissa Sta. Ana Nasol (6th, 84.56%); Coleen Mae Sumadila Cedeño (8th, 84.38%) of Davao Doctors College, Inc., and Leana Maria Marcelino Lucero (9th, 84.09%).

Based on information from the Professional Regulation Commission website, 112 out of 131 or about 85.49 percent of the examinees passed the exam given by the Board of Optometry in Manila.
