Asheet Kagirok wins via countback to bag 6th Y101 Cup platinum crown

Ace Serafin and Jingo Abellana helped Team Asheet Kagirok clinch the premier platinum division crown of 6th Y101 Cup Golf Tournament last Friday at the Cebu Country Club.

Serafin and Abellana finished the par-72 tournament with a combined 47 points in the two best-ball pair format. Their teammates, Miguel Martinez and Mark Anthony Dy, connived for 41 points as Asheet Kagirok and defending champion, Rajah Park Hotel, both finished with 88 points.

Asheet Kagirok went on to edge Rajah Park Hotel via countba ck.

Rajah Park Hotel was spearheaded by Kim Kwang Seok and David Ugarte, who scored 46 points, while Nonoy Tirol and Gerry Catindoy pitched in 42 points.

Rounding off the top three in the platinum division was Strongbuilt-1 with 85 points.

Abellana clinched the highest net points award with 43 points.

In the gold division, NZL Dairy and Co. emerged on top by scoring 86 points with Frederic and Jonji Chiongbian combining for scored 46 points. Eric Deen and Robin Craze chipped in 40.

Trailing NZL Dairy and Co. was PRCC with 84 points. The tandem of George Hong and Benedict Uy tallied 42 points while Lorenzo Alaan and Michael Go also finished with 42 points for PRCC.

Innoland Olympians settled for third with 83 points.

In the silver division, Team Grow and Green claimed the top spot by putting up 86 points.

The tandem of Mar Selma and Glenn Siao scored a combined 43 points as well as the tandem of Lawrence Chian and Edwin Go Lim.

Allure Hotel placed second with 85 points followed by Innoland with 83 points.

A total of 40 teams competed in the one-day tournament organized by Y101 FM and presented by Coca-Cola.
