THE CEBU Institute Technology – University (CIT-U) Baby Wildcats are keeping their fingers crossed as they look to join the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) boys volleyball tournament this season.

In a chat with Cebu Daily News, Baby Wildcats mentor Armel Loon confirmed that they are aiming to be part of the competition this year.

“Yes, we will be joining, but it still depends if we make the deadline for the submission of credentials,” Loon said.

The last day for the submission of credentials and final lineups of teams is slated next Monday.

The Baby Wildcats are composed mostly of walk-in and intramural players since they haven’t recruited anyone throughout the course of the off-season.

Should things fall into place for the Baby Wildcats, they will be the third newest team in the league after the Southwestern University (SWU) Baby Cobras and the University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters, who have committed to join a few months ago.
