THE Cebu Alliance of Mass Communications Students (CAMS) delegates joined the morning story conference of the ABS-CBN news team as an immersion last August 10.

The activity kicked off the month-long 10th anniversary celebration of CAMS.

News personalities such as Jude Torres, Annie Fe Perez, Charry Coronel, and Mary Ann Uy demonstrated to the delegates the process involved in selecting the news for the day’s report.

The delegates will be competing in the upcoming Campus Patrol, a broadcasting contest for students hosted by ABS-CBN Cebu on Aug. 31 at SM Seaside Mountain Wing.

CAMS August Rush is packed with upcoming activities.

A campus talk will be held at the University of San Jose-Recoletos tomorrow, while CAMS Got Talent will take place at SM Seaside Mountain Wing on August 24.

CAMS president Mark Roland Romas is urging all MassComm students to attend the activities.

“We thank ABS-CBN for giving us this type of activity every year. However, we would be happier if other media outlets in TV, radio and print will give us activities to hone our skills more because these really help us to get equipped in the future,” Romas said. /USJ-R Journalism student Delta Dyrecka C.
