ONLY FROM CEBU

Since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed his post, names of suspected drug lords were revealed to the public.

Five of them are Cebuanos: Peter Lim, Franz Sabalones, Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz, Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria, and Kerwin Espinosa.

A teenager posed a valid question.

“Nganong pulos ra man taga Cebu ang iladong mga drug lords? Asa na man diay ang taga Luzon ug Mindanao ani?” he said.

(How come all the known drug lords are from Cebu? Where are the drug lords from Luzon and Mindanao?)

LOVE AFFAIR

Some people watching the testimonies of Ronnie Dayan at the House of Representatives swooned and snickered after hearing him recount his love affair with Senator Leila de Lima.

Others, on one hand, were disgusted over the manner congressmen asked Dayan questions. Still there were others who found it titillating.

EXPERT SIGNATURE

A prosecutor was delighted to have an expert witness testifying in court.

Interpreter: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?

Witness: Before God and man, yes!

Lawyer: Do you affirm and confirm the contents of this Judicial Affidavit?

Witness: With all my heart and soul, yes!

Lawyer: There is a signature above the typewritten name Xxx. Is this your signature?

Witness: Unmistakably, yes, that is my signature.
