“Is there a cause in your heart or a problem that you want to solve? You can have a have a blog.”

Carlo Andrew Olano, Cebu Blogging Community Manager, gave this advise during his opening remarks at the Cebu Blogging Summit 2016 held at the iiOffice on Saturday.

With a growing blogging community in Cebu, Olano said it is important to have a blog that will serve a purpose in order for it to succeed.

“You should remember to have a goal. Is there a cause in your heart or a problem that you want to solve?”

He also gave some topics on how to start a blog.

The annual summit, which is now on its third year, gathers bloggers, students, yuppies and marketers to discuss about the world of blogging — tips and hacks in blogging, strategies, ideas, techniques in blogging and social media, as well as other technical and non-technical skill sets to ensure that they sustain blogging as a medium for social good.

Cebu Blogging Summit is the largest non-profit gathering of bloggers in Central Philippines where participants share, learn and discuss blogging tips and hacks.

There were at least 80 participants in this year’s summit held at the iiOffice at the second floor of Arinda V. Paras Building along Don Gil Garcia Street in Cebu City.
