Lapu netters Cuizon, Nocos to see action in Olivarez Cup
LAPU-LAPU City netters Chad Connor Cuizon and Tiffany Claire Nocos will be competing in the Juniors Age Group of the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) Olivarez Cup, which gets underway today in Sucat, Parañaque.
The nine-year-old Cuizon, who is also set to compete in the Philippine Columbian Association later this month, hopes to sustain his momentum after winning the FirstGen Metro Age-Group Tennis last June when he takes on Hadassa Pascua today in the 10-unisex division.
Nocos, on the other hand, will still wait for the winner of the Andi Roque-Romnika Custudio match which is scheduled at 7 p.m. tonight after earning a bye in the first round.
The men’s open, which features Cebuanos Marc Norman Enriquez and Franklin Encarnacion, will kick off on Tuesday. /Correspondent John Carlo A. Villaruel
