IN a bid to strengthen their chances of winning the Batang Pinoy Championship girls’ volleyball title, the Abellana National School (ANS) recruited four players from the Cebu Schools Athletics Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) to reinforce them for the annual conclave slated on Nov. 10-16 in Dumaguete City.

In an interview with CDN, ANS girls mentor Thelma Datig revealed that the team will be reinforced by Ghana Suan of Southwestern University-Phinma, Darianne Brigoli of the University of Cebu and Angel Galinato and Aliyah Cabase of the University of San Carlos.

“Only eight of my players are qualified to join because of the age-limit. We included them because they have shown some potential,” said Datig who has been always present in Cesafi game days this season.

The Batang Pinot meet is for players 15-years-old and below.
