FLYOVER WOES
Netizens were worried about the traffic congestion to be caused by the construction of the proposed P947-million tri-level flyover project on U.N. Avenue in Mandaue City.
Merlo A Gulf wrote: “(During the start of the construction), After 5 pm manguli na dayon ang mga workers (the workers will leave) no night work then no work on Sundays and holidays the result is worsening traffic for years to come.”
Christopher Barne wrote: “Ironic kaau, maka na ang project ni aim na para ma lessen ang traffic pero sa pag tukod palang, traffic na ang dulot. Sa naman ni oi (It’s ironic that a project aimed at reducing traffic will cause traffic. Whatever will happen)”
Joyjoy Uy said: “Tunnels are more viable as long as it is made with correct specifications… just like Ayala crossing to panagdait … the traffic is horrible.”
